Are you an experienced IT Integration Solution Designer ready to help with transformation of legacy IT Integration domain at Slovak Telekom to modern micro service architecture? We are looking for an expert who will help design and implement our comprehensive IT Integration transformation, replacing legacy integration processes with a new architecture based on the TM Forum ODA (Open Digital Architecture) and Open API concepts. This role will define new rules in the IT Integration domain and will force compliance with these rules across the organization.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced IT Integration Senior Solution Designer for IT Integration squad in Enterprise IT Tribe. Main role of this position will be close cooperation with business analytics, architects and developers with focus on analysis of business requirements, technical specifications and functional design in IT Integration area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of a new IT integration layer fully compliant with TM Forum Open APIs and Open Digital Architecture (ODA) principles across our IT ecosystem.
- Define and implement integration and orchestration patterns to ensure scalability, resilience and decoupled system communication.
- Design and develop modern cloud-native solutions for all IT Integration domain, utilizing microservices, containerization, and event-driven architectures as the foundation for this new IT Integration.
- Mentor technical teams and establish best practices to build organizational capability in the new IT integration solution.
- Collaborate closely with DevSecOps teams to design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies supporting continuous delivery of integration components.
- Ensure architectural alignment between design, development, and operations through API-first and cloud-native design practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years in enterprise architecture/solution design, with 3+ years specifically in IT Integration area
- Experience with IT Integration platforms e.g. TIBCO products (BW5, BW6, BWCE, FOM/FOS) and TIBCO migration to a different product is an advantage.
- Experience with WSO2 API GW is advantage.
- Experience with security principles focus on encryption, authentication, authorization.
- Proven hands-on experience with TM Forum Open APIs and Open Digital Architecture (ODA) implementation, with a focus on building new integration solutions including practical application of integration patterns (synchronous/asynchronous, event-driven, message bus, API Gateway, choreography vs. orchestration) and modern microservices-based integration. Candidate must understand architecture standards, enterprise integration patterns, shape short-term and long-term architecture solution options involving pros and cons.
- Practical understanding of DevSecOps principles, CI/CD tools and pipelines.
- Proficiency in modern backend technologies (Java, Java Spring boot, Python) and software design best practices.
- Proficiency in modern architectural principles (microservices, containerization, cloud platforms, event-driven architectures) for building next-gen IT integration.
- Knowledge or past experience in AI Use cases in IT Integration domain.
- Leadership, strategic planning, analytical, documentation, communication and presentation skills for driving large-scale change. Ability to influence technical and business stakeholders and mentoring teams.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential. The role involves regular communication with various NatCos and interaction with management board.
